Transthoracic Echocardiogram

A transthoracic echocardiogram is an ultrasound assessment of the heart. It’s also called an echo, cardiac echo, 2D echo or cardiac ultrasound.

Exercise Stress Echocardiogram (Treadmil)

This is an Exercise Test, with the additional use of ultrasound pictures of the heart comparing before and immediately after the exercise.

 
 

Exercise Stress ECG

This is a continuous 12 Lead Electrocardiogram during a walking test on a treadmill. One common reason to perform the test is to look for possible narrowings of the arteries that supply blood to the heart muscle.

24 Hour Holter Monitoring

A 24 hour Holter Monitor is a portable electrocardiogram (ECG) used to continuously monitor a patient's heart for a duration of up to 24 hours.

24 Hour Blood Pressure monitoring

An Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitor (ABP Monitor) measures a patient’s blood pressure at periodic intervals throughout a 24 hour period as he / she goes about their normal activities.

Multiday cardiac event monitoring

A cardiac event recorder is a battery-powered portable device that you control to tape-record your heart’s electrical activity (Electrocardiogram or ‘ECG’) when you have symptoms.

Pacemaker/Device Checks

For patients who have required the implantation of a cardiac pacemaker to help ensure regular heart rhythm, periodic checks.
