How long will my initial appointment take?

Most initial appointments will take between 45-90 minutes. If you are having some testing on the day this may be additional time spent at the practice.

What will happen at my initial appointment?

If you are referred to Hurstville Heart Centre for a consultation and specialist testing, you’ll first be examined by the cardiologist before any tests. After testing, a comprehensive report will be sent to your referring doctor.

What to bring to your initial appointment:

  • Medicare/DVA card

  • Pension card

  • Private Health Insurance Card

  • Referral letter

  • Recent pathology and x-rays

  • List of current medications

  • Suitable sportswear (shorts) for exercise testing

  • Joggers for exercise testing

What you’ll be charged for your initial appointment:

On the day of your visit to our rooms, you’ll be provided with an itemised account for the services provided. Payment in full is required on the day.

Payment can be made by cash, cheque, EFTPOS or credit card.
